Event Tickets - Porcelain Mezcal Workshop: Crafting with Earth and Fire
Nov 9 from 1 to 3pm PST at KP Projects Gallery
Handcraft Your Own Porcelain Pinch Pots
Join artist Patricia Yossen for a special hands-on porcelain workshop in an intimate gallery setting where art, colorful conversation, and good energy meet. In this joyful two-hour session, you’ll create 4–6 porcelain pinch pots — small, sculptural vessels that can hold anything from a pinch of salt, or mezcal, to your favorite salsa! Using simple hand-building techniques, you’ll shape and personalize your pieces in black and white porcelain, with the option to add playful touches using colorful underglazes. The vessels will be food-safe.
As you create, enjoy a small bite sized Ayurvedic plant based tamale designed to balance your senses, prepared by Chef Saveida Sethi — (nourishing treats, not lunch) - as well as optional Mezcal sipping. Both paring to invite a burst of mindful flavors that are sure to deliver savory and smokey goodness.
Your finished pieces will be glazed, fired twice by the artist off-site — and because beauty takes time — available for pickup at the gallery on November 23, carefully wrapped in a linen pouch.
Come ready to create with clay, connect, and leave with something beautiful shaped by your own hands. Note: Porcelain is a delicate, high-temperature material and not suitable for children — this workshop is designed for adults only.
Discount available for purchases of two tickets.
VIP ticket option available which includes a hand signed limited edition print (only 20 available) by Patricia Yossen, inspired by the vessels in the workshop.
